Ready for a day in the life as a fisherman? You and your bachelors will be spending a half day on a 32-foot, 12-ton, diesel-powered Wegley boat brought down from Alaska, and you’ll be fishing with hand-built custom rods by Vic’s Custom Rods. There are even custom rods and reels for lefties and two-speed reels for children (or anyone else that wants to use them). All the rods—righties, lefties, and 2-speeds, alike—are set-up in advance by your captain for the specific fish you’ll be targeting. If you’ve got your own fishing gear, you’re welcome to bring it along as well. The captain is happy to chat with you and help you set up your rod and reel for optimum performance on the trip. In fact, the captain will assist with anything you might need, even casting if necessary, though, at the minimum you should fight and land your own fish. The captain will clean and filet your fish before you leave, and if you’ve got a camera, bring it—the captain is also a photographer and is happy to take pictures of you and your catch!

The boat is equipped with state of the art commercial electronics, including a fish finder, radar, a GPS plotter, two marine VHF radios, a 3000 watt inverter with 110 outlets, a stereo system, and a flat screen television, so you’re sure to track down plenty of fish for the catching and there’s plenty to keep everyone entertained along the way. There will also be plenty of great views when fishing San Francisco Bay, including the City itself, the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz Island, Angel Island, the Farallon Islands, the Pacific Coast, sea otters, and if you are really lucky, an occasional whale.

The boat is sturdy enough to withstand rough seas in the Bering Sea, so you needn’t worry about rough weather. It holds 380 gallons of fuel and the exhaust stack is high, so you don’t have to smell the diesel exhaust. It has a 14’ beam – 6 deck chairs will fit across the stern. It has high gunnels to keep the kids safe and you in the boat! On board, there are 2 small refrigerators, an ice-maker, a Magic Chef range/oven/broiler, 2 sinks, a 65 gallon fresh water tank, a gas barbeque, five bunks, a walk-in restroom and a warm cabin available for your comfort.

Bring ice and your own food if you’d like to barbecue on board or have a picnic. There is a Walgreen's around the corner from the docks if you want to pick up fixins locally.
